Horsetail and Buttercup

Horsetails - the green stem to the left - are pretty cool. They are considered living fossils - the last of a group plant that existed 350 million years ago. Apparently, they can be used to scrub your camping pots, because of silica content. The pretty Snow Buttercup, right, is poisonous if eaten.
